Brick & Block Work

Block and brick work is the other half of a lot of concrete jobs — the stem wall a slab sits on, the block foundation under a shop or addition, a retaining wall that holds a bank back, or a brick veneer that needs a section re-laid. We lay it the same way we pour: on a proper footing, plumb and level, with the reinforcement and grout the job calls for.

For block foundations and stem walls we pour the footing, lay the courses to a string line, set rebar and grout the cells where the plans call for it, and cap it ready for framing or a slab. Retaining walls get drainage behind them so they hold. For brick we match the existing bond and mortar color as closely as the material allows, repair or re-lay the section, and tool the joints to match.
